Instagram Downloader is a free tool that saves the videos, Reels, photos and stories of a public Instagram post to your phone or computer: paste the link, press Get, download. Nothing to install, no account, it never asks for your Instagram password. On iPhone the file goes straight into Photos.

How to download an Instagram video

1. Open the video or post in Instagram.
2. Tap the Share (paper plane) icon and choose Copy link.
3. On this page press Paste, then Get.
4. Press Download on the file. On iPhone choose Save Video / Save Image in the share sheet.

Private accounts and copyright

The tool only works with public posts; it cannot and does not try to reach private accounts. What you download belongs to the person who posted it: use it to back up your own posts or to keep content you have permission for, and do not repost someone else's video on your account without asking. This site is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download Instagram Reels?

On the Reel tap Share → Copy link, paste the link here, press Get and then Download. The video is saved as an MP4 with its sound.

Is it free? Do I have to log in?

It is free and there is no login. We never ask for your Instagram account or password. There is a daily download limit per person to stop abuse.

Why does the video go to Photos and not Files on iPhone?

On iPhone, Download opens the share sheet; choose Save Video and the file goes straight into Photos. On Android and computers it is saved to your Downloads folder.

Can I download from a private account?

No. Only posts, Reels and stories of public accounts can be downloaded.

Can I download every photo of a carousel post?

Yes. Each photo and video of a carousel comes as its own card; save them one by one or all at once with Download all.

It says "Post not found" — why?

The account may be private, the post may be deleted, or the story's 24 hours may be over. Make sure the whole link was copied.

Can I repost the video I downloaded?

The video belongs to the person who made it. If you want to repost it, ask the owner and credit them.
