Image Converter is a free online tool that converts your images to JPG, PNG or WebP. Turn WebP into JPG, PNG into JPG or JPG into PNG; it also opens AVIF, HEIC, GIF and BMP files. Pick several images at once, set the format and quality, and download them all in one go. The conversion runs in your browser; your files are never uploaded.
JPG is the most compatible format for photos; email, Instagram and most websites ask for JPG. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, but the file is large. WebP is smaller than JPG at the same quality; it works in modern browsers and apps, and older programs may not open it.
How do I convert WebP to JPG?
Add your WebP images, choose JPG as the output format and press Convert. The quality slider sets the file size, and you can download them all at once.
What happens to transparent areas when I convert PNG to JPG?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white. To keep transparency, choose PNG or WebP as the output.
Does converting lower the quality?
JPG and WebP are lossy formats; around 90 percent quality looks the same to the eye. PNG is lossless but the file grows. Converting a JPG to PNG does not bring back detail that JPG already lost.
Which formats can it open?
It opens WebP, PNG, JPG, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC files (TIFF only if your browser can open it, for example Safari). For an animated GIF or WebP, only the first frame is converted.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser; your files never leave your device and are never sent to a server.
How many images can I convert at once?
As many as you like. They are converted one after another; on a computer you save them all as one ZIP, on a phone through one share sheet.
Is location and camera data kept in the output?
No. GPS location and camera details are not carried into the output file.
