How do I remove the background from a photo?
Add the photo; the tool finds the subject with AI and cuts it out. If you don't like the result, open 🪄 AI to pick another engine, change the selection strictness, or use the brush to add what was missed and remove what is left over.
How do I download a PNG with a transparent background?
Choose "Transparent" as the background, keep the format on PNG (or WebP) and press Download. The checkerboard in the preview only shows the transparency; it is not in the file you download.
How good are hair and fine edges?
It depends on the engine. On a computer the RMBG (quality) engine gives the best edges. You can fix anything left around the edge with the brush.
What resolution is the result?
The cut is applied to your photo's own pixels, so the result is the size of your photo (long side capped at 4096 pixels).
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is processed in your browser. Only the AI model is downloaded the first time you use it and is then kept in the browser; your photo is never sent to a server.
Is location and camera data kept in the output?
No. GPS location and camera details are not carried into the output file.
